Job Description

As the Scrum Master, you will support the team in driving agile practices and principles, coach the team to take ownership of deliverables, become self-empowered to self-organize, self-manage and deliver with reliable cadence. You will contribute to building an environment of continuous improvement of software delivery, act as a catalyst to expedite the teamís development into a high performing team, and leverage excellent communication and software development experience to deliver customer-centric program scope, on time, with quality, and within budget commitments.

Facilitate Agile initiatives from Initiation through release. Providing oversight to initiative kick off, sprint, release and deployment planning
Ensure all artifacts of Scrum are being adhered to including sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Maintain the teams, Scrum board, sprint backlog, velocity charts, and burndown charts
Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives that meet stakeholders needs and expectations.
Manage risk to delivery; Remove impediments to delivery; Guard teams from wasteful interruptions & activities
Regularly share team KPIs and recommend improvements
Lead initiatives within teams to own & improve their agile process
Understand and keep abreast of current technology
Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them
Build excellent working relationships within teams and across the organization
Coach team & Product Managers in Agile Methodologies and be an advocate for organization adoption of agile practices and values
Hold regular 1-on-1s with key team influences (Product Managers, Engineering Managers)
Collaborate with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Share technical knowledge with others and actively seek to learn from those more knowledgeable than yourself
Help others see the impacts of their efforts and share your appreciation for their valuable contribution
Encourage others to freely share their point of view and be open to feedback

Must Have Skills:

University education or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

Experience in eCommerce and Retail an asset
Scrum Master certification (CSM)
3-6 years of Scrum Master experience and/or leading large cross-functional teams on major software projects
Demonstrated passion for Agile software development
Strong knowledge and experience coordinating deliverables in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery agile software development environment
Proficient with Atlassian JIRA & Confluence, able to source and develop new tools
