Job Description

Our client is seeking a Sr Java Software Engineer to lead the software support team here in Montreal. In this 3rd Level Support role you will be working closely with customers and internal teams in a consultative and supportive technical role of a Cloud base multi-tenant product used by thousands of customers and their employees around the globe.

If you are wicked at researching and finding solutions to a wide variety of problems; you have solid experience supporting today’s technology and you are passionate about helping your clients - this role may be the perfect role for you.



Must Have Skills:




This role involves:

•Working with customers to help identify issues, researching and finding solutions to a wide variety of complex problems, in order to improve customers’ productivity and satisfaction.
•Demonstrating a dedication to the customer support experience, practicing active listening skills and responding positively to situations requiring cooperation, with courtesy and tact.
•Collaborating with product teams to improve products and the customers’ experience.
•Supporting others members of the support team in dealing with tickets and requests
•Tracking and documenting inbound support requests and ensuring appropriate documentation of customer problems or issues




The ideal candidate:

•Holds a degree in engineering or in other technical disciplines.
•Has strong background 3rd level support in software development, preferably within Atlassian Jira environments.
•Has great attention to detail and uses strategic problem solving skills to meet diverse and demanding needs.
•Has strong written and verbal English communication skills
•Is a solid self-started but also a good collaborator who enjoys working in a team environment and building effective working relationships.
•Uses prioritisation to manage multiple projects effectively and never forgets to communicate with customers.
•Can guide, mentor and motivate other team members.
•Applicants must have a valid work permit for Canada.
