Development Team Lead (.NET & iOS)

Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Team Lead who will be responsible for the availability and stability of the systems, as well as the successful delivery of initiatives and features based on scope, timelines and budgets.

In this role, you will provide leadership and mentoring to the delivery team in order to develop and expand the team’s skills while meeting their goals.


You will:

Job description:


• Engage in agile ceremonies as well as in requirements refinement, requirements estimation
• Ensure architecture and design and proper coding and security practices are respected
• Adhere to unit testing practices to ensure quality control of the code
• Manage all levels of deployment planning, sig-off and readiness as well as executing and troubleshooting
• Participate in the architecture and technical design by establishing and documenting solutions
• Participate in the selection of tools and technologies
• Maintain and improve technical knowledge and software development practices
• Provide regular feedback to project managers, Sr. Director, Retail Solutions, action all issues encountered immediately
• Place customer satisfaction at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes
• Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs
• Always be on the look out for technology that creates high tech and high touch solutions
• Always be moving toward improvement by always identifying, diagnosing, and resolving
• Always work towards improvement by identifying issues and then working towards diagnosing and resolving them


Must Have Skills:

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of development experience with .NET technologies including ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, web and windows services
• Computer Science degree or related formal computer training
• Excellent knowledge of MSSQL including database design, T-SQL and query optimization
• Experience in mobile development including iOS, Objective-C, Core Animation, Core Data, JSON, Auto-layout


Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of retail system internals and key interfaces along with experience working in Retail environments
• Experience leading a team of developers
• Microsoft certifications are an asset
• Proven leadership skills
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (waterfall and agile)
• Excellent communication skills
