Product Manager - IaaS/Cloud

Job Description

The Infrastructure as a Service Product Manager must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, the drive to make that vision a reality, and the ability to drive product growth in a rapidly change market.

You bring a solid background in Public, Private, and Hybrid Cloud, as well as emerging Cloud Management Platforms (CMP) technologies along with benefits, implications, and management considerations from an IT service delivery perspective. Along with knowledge of complementary infrastructure elements including Colocation, Connectivity, Data Protection, Security, and Managed Services, you enjoy identifying industry and technology trends and their implications at the intersection of business and operating at the intersection of business & IT. You live to develop technology solutions that enable your Customers to solve their business challenges. You also work extremely well with cross-functional stakeholders in order to successfully build and execute supporting product go to market, sales enablement, fulfillment, and customer support in order to deliver on new product launches as well as life cycle enhancements for the Private Cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities:
Understanding of new technology directions in the emerging cloud market, conduct market research and maintain expertise in the product internally and competitively.
Articulate the Data Centre & Cloud vision, value proposition, and unique selling propositions.
Identify and assess opportunities for product lifecycle enhancements & new product offerings.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the portfolio and investments align with strategic direction of the business goals.
Produce and own the product business plan, on-going lifecycle management, and associated roadmaps.
Collaborate & evolve product strategy within the Data Centre & Cloud portfolio (short and long term requirements).
Define portfolio KPIs and track product performance, manage revenue and profitability objectives to deliver product portfolio assessments.
Leverage customer experience feedback to enhance/improve products and processes.
Point of contact/escalation for all product related issues including problem definition, recommended fix, and action plan to resolution.
Work with cross-functional team such sales, marketing, support, engineering and process teams in understanding and improving the product life cycle management to influence product sales and ensure excellent customer experience.
Create and update the business Requirement Document and assess product adherence to BRD during development and launch phases.
Deliver products & portfolios that have clear differentiation, product uniqueness and complete the product documentation
Create Product Concept Document/Service Description document and own the product concept and presentations
Maintain and develop strong working relations with internal teams, external parties, and suppliers.


Must Have Skills:

Strong understanding of Enterprise IT needs: trends, workloads, technology, drivers, service management, governance, and procurement.
Experience in one of the following: Product Management, Product Marketing, or Technology Development.
Experience with Cloud Orchestration and Cloud Management Platforms.
Strong understanding of Private Cloud and reference architectures from major vendors (HP, Cisco, Openstack, VMware, etc).
Strong Understanding of Public Cloud (Amazon, Azure, Rackspace, etc).
Experience with or exposure to data center & networking technologies preferred.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage many conflicting priorities.
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, changing working environment.
Willingness to perform all tasks required to complete the job, meet deadline, including administrative and documentation oriented task.
University degree, engineering or business equivalent preferred.
Self-motivated and a Team Player with the ability to exercise decisions with confidence.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Calm, confident and able to learn quickly on the job as needed.
Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, rapid changes and aggressive timelines.
Holds self-accountable for achieving established performance objectives.
