Senior Front-End Developer

Montreal, Quebec  - Permanent



Job Description

As a Front-End dev you will be a key member of the engineering team. You will be responsible for working with our API, Mobile, QA and Product teams to implement features across our web properties. You will develop responsive, scalable, and maintainable applications with a constant consideration for user experience and design.

You are a front-end whiz, you are well versed in the back-end. You love programming for the web. You have an eye for great design. You know how to make a page load fast. You have an opinion and some experience to back it up.

You will:
- Build beautiful, isolated web components in react/redux and integrate them into our web applications.
- Work with the marketing and product teams to implement event-based analytics using services such as Segment and Google Analytics.
- Own the end-to-end implementation of new features from the responsive UI down to the API.
- Be part of a fast-moving cross-functional team; one of our core values is “Move fast, Iterate faster” and we live this everyday in our Spotify-inspired independent teams.
- Improve our end-to-end test coverage
- Work with the engineering team to maintain and improve our front-end architecture

Must Have Skills:

- 5+ years in an engineering or development role
- Shiny new stuff: React/Redux/ES6
- ‘Legacy’ stuff: Backbone/Coffeescript
- git and github
- node.js, express
- grunt/gulp
- AWS
- Segment
- A post-secondary degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience


Nice to Have Skills:

- Github account profile;
- Stack Overflow profile;
- Links to live, on-the-web examples of their work.
