Senior Infrastructure Program Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Program Manager to deliver on large complex Infrastructure programs. Reporting to the Director Infrastructure Project Delivery, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large programs such as Infrastructure Modernization, Datacenter Consolidations, etc. In this role you will manage project resources and stakeholders that are located in various geographical areas and with delivery teams offshore working in an outsourced model to successfully deliver the projects and services to our customers.

Responsibilities:

- Manage construction and implementation for several highly complex programs at any given time and directs all phases of programs/projects from inception through completion.
- Preparation of CA estimates within the program scope and for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program/projects.
- Manage strategic direction set and overall program management for highly complex and accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Infrastructure Projects within the program scope programs.
- Liaise with the IT PMO to ensure that the program approach effectively aligns with necessary project management practices and governance.
- Create the structure and support system for the program and its respective projects -- to ensure it is conducive to leading and coordinating the planning and delivery of the Program objectives.
- Provide leadership on overall program tracking, assessment and reporting in the areas of status, forecasts, issues, and risks; oversee the development and communication of project status reporting.
- Create, maintain and monitor a program charter and program plan, with schedule and budget and develops the communication of Steering Committee Reports.
- Responsible for 3rd party statements of work, contracts, validation of invoices, etc.
- Create a central control point for all projects associated with the program.
- Ensure established Change Management processes are followed to avoid scope from becoming changed without due diligence regarding schedule and budget impact.
- Ensure updates are made to weekly Executive Dashboards, EPM and Infra PCO Governance Project Database to track and report on project progress and milestone completions.
- Conduct walk-through with stakeholders, manage post implementation reviews and identify lessons learned, create communications for senior management discussion.


Must Have Skills:

What's needed:

- Graduate degree required with 10+ years of work experience in Infrastructure Program / Project Management
- Demonstrate ability to navigate through major projects from the idea inception, through pre-planning activities and up to project closure and is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified (the ITIL - Certification is an asset) earned among peers in industry.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively on multiple programs within a fast paced high-tech customer service oriented environment that span across business units and with project teams and stakeholders that are in located in various geographical areas and with delivery teams offshore working in an outsourced model.
- Demonstrate solid expertise in Infrastructure Architecture and Infrastructure technologies as well as Information Management methodologies.
- Extensive experience with large Telco and Telecom organizations and proven track record in managing large and complex Infrastructure programs.
- Highly developed analytic, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support.
- Effective, well-developed customer service and facilitation skills with excellent organizational, interpersonal, project management and analytical skills required
- Well-developed influence and negotiation skills to resolve distinct differences of opinion or approach and well-developed written and verbal communication skills, sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on complex issues
- Developed management / leadership skills sufficient to lead/motivate and develop others.
- Demonstrated strong vendor interaction and relationship management skills, especially with off-source resources
