Job Description

Our client is looking for 2x Junior Buyer / Purchasing Assistant for a 3 months minimum contract
The ideal candidate must have experience with IT Procurement
Location will be downtown but North York to start until end of May 2017

Must Have Skills:

The Junior Buyer/Purchasing Assistant will support the tactical purchasing initiatives within our clients Global Procurement team and ensure that the required focus is placed on completing the Statements of Work (SOW) and renewals.

The successful candidate will have some experience with the following:

Process/renew all assigned SOW related engagements
Ensure that purchasing policies are followed and maintain all purchasing documentation
Arrange Supplier/Client Meetings and follow up on actions and report preparation
Update the Contracts Management System and if applicable, ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are created on time while proactively identifying risks and providing mitigation plans
Provide timely and effective communication of issues to manager
Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously or as part of a team
Excellent organization and task management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to provide high quality, timely internal customer service in accordance with the established service levels published
Meets work demands and expectations in an efficient and effective manner
Uses discretion and vigilance in applying corporate policies
Demonstrate effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills

IT, SOW, RFP, Contract Management System, contract management process, PO, procurement, purchase policy, Purchase Orders
