Members of the Technical Operations team will leverage deep systems knowledge to attain expert-level knowledge of the platform and its features. You possess a proven ability to diagnose complicated platform issues and can pinpoint root cause whether the issue exists in the application, stack, OS, or hardware. You will maintain the platform while driving efficiency through skilled application of new technology and automation.

Propose, participate in and lead projects to support explosive business growth.
Propose and work on automation projects to drive operational efficiencies.
Participate in projects to support proactive monitoring initiatives.
Proactively monitor all aspects of the platform including hardware, network, stack, product, backups.
Identify, respond to and resolve incidents.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems spanning servers, networks, and applications.
Plan, schedule, and deploy upgrades to infrastructure, OS, stack.
Plan, schedule, build and deploy product patches and upgrades.
Maintain a secure operating environment by adhering to standards.
Maintain backup and recovery operations.
Participate in the on-call rotation.

6+ years of related work experience.
Experience in a 24/7 complex SaaS environment.
Deep understanding of Linux. SLES, Red Hat, OEL experience is ideal.
Programming ability in one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, Perl, Go, other.
Must read and understand code with working code writing ability.
Configuration management experience with Ansible, Salt, Puppet or, Chef.
Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. Able to debug network issues with tcpdump, Wireshark.
Experience with building high-availability solutions in AWS.
Nagios, Cacti, Sensu, Grafana, or similar tools.
Server provisioning with PXE, DHCP, KIWI, autoyast, kickstart.
Ability to troubleshoot server hardware provisioning and hardware faults.
Dell hardware experience and iDRAC is beneficial.

Nice to Have Skills:

Security related skills highly desirable:

Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities, OWASP, web application attack and defence methodologies
Experience with access/identity management, access provisioning in various systems (no centralized solution, this is something we need to look at - use vpn/firewalls.
Experience with vulnerability scanners/vulnerability management software: Nessus, Acunetix
Experience configuring and using file integrity monitoring software (Tripwire, OSSEC, etc)
Experience with enterprise endpoint protection solutions (Kaspersky (we use this), Sophos, Trend Micro, etc)
Experience working in a PCI DSS / ISO 27002 compliant environment
Working knowledge of PCI DSS regulations
Ability to produce high-quality documentation required by PCI DSS standards
